Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Ps. 51:6
We live is a world that's dominated by oxymorons. We have fallen in love once again with the thought of really loving who we are, but from the looks of it, the statement of loving yourself seems to be far from the truth. How can we love our hair being natural, and put weave in our little girls hair? How can we say we love ourselves, but don't sleep. or eat well? How can we say we love the skin we're in, but when it comes to posting a simple picture turns into an overly filtered pretense of a person we wish to be? When did we give in to the fake pretense of the fairy-tale, made up world of Facebook, and Instagram. When did we stop being real, not just real with people but real with ourselves? Why don't we just tell the truth! Why not say, I don't know what to do. Why not say, "Hey, I'm a mess today" Why not just take off the filters, stop being fake and just BE! What is happening is we're teaching our next generation that who they are, is not enough. You must cover up at all cost so much that when people see you out in public, they're not sure if it's really you, because the you on the screen is not the same you we see at the local store. The only way to true healing is vulnerability. Look, see me, just like I really am, No makeup, no filters no hiding, I'm a wonderful mess, Loved by a wonderful God. He knows me! He knows my frame! He knows all the things He's still healing in me, and yet not ashamed to call me by His name. When we really let go of all the lies, we will have nothing, and no one to hide from. Maybe when we finally stop hiding, we will learn that who we are is enough. The REAL me, RAW and FREE! Lacy

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Cor. 5:17
Wow!!! You look amazing, how did you do it? What do you eat? How much do you exercise? Sometimes the questions go on and on. Don't get me wrong, the wonderful new life I have now because of God's grace can't match the life I had before, but how do you live this wonderful life in the present, while you're running from who you use to be? In the scripture above where it says, "the old is gone, the new is here" is a process. It was just recently that I realized how much shamed I lived under in my past, so much so that I really didn't love, or even like who I was. I've learned that the parts of you that don't heal remain current in you until they are processed out. I'm now learning to look at old pictures with joy and peace instead of disdain and regret. Learning to look with amazement of the long standing commitment she had to be made whole, and not with anger because of how many times she failed. I'm learning to invite her into the journey of wholeness with me, and not pretend that she didn't matter, or exists. She, the old me had so many wonderful qualities, and a joy that I pray I'm doing her proud. Is there an old you that maybe you are ashamed of? Ways you behaved, and things you've done that you would love to never think of again. Learn to forgive yourself as many times as needed to release yourself from guilt, and shame of the past. Maybe it's time to take another look back, a deeper look and see what wonderful things about the old you that you can take and celebrate. Just the fact that the old you didn't give up...Yes, lets start there. Lacy 2020 is the season of clarity! “For I know the thoughts (Plans) that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer. 29:11 KJV For many years I've loved reading and agreeing with this scripture. God has a promised future through His plan, already mapped out for us. The reality of living this amazing life, is found in our ability to line up our thinking in order to manifest it. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, (Rom.12:2) will be the pathway, through the Word of God, that will line up our thinking. I have decided that every thought that does not agree with what Father God says about me, has to go as soon as I recognize it. We also must set a standard in our mind, from the very moment we wake up in the morning. This standard begins with the spoken Word in declaration form to agree with who God says we are. Only in living in agreement with Him, can we live out His plan for our life to bless everyone we come in contact with! Into the Silence
The abyss of my soul, I find the chaos of pain that drains my soul. The noise of my own goings, and comings trying to fill my cup with spoons full of nothing, it finds me forever empty. Oh...Who can fill this soul of mine, and where to find this Living Water that will never run dry? To the Well I run to find the One with water to spare, to find and fill what's really longing in me. Not with laughter, empty void. Not with fashion, awesome noise. Not with fan fair, empty void. Not with people, empty eyes. But with fullness, Father's Love. Peace in silence, fullness filled. With joy unending, empty, emptied. Completeness found, silence filled. Loves fullness, me I found. To be one, with The One; me, I found. Silence filled, with joy unending, Silence stilled. "The only power we have, is the power to govern ourselves" Apostle Maria Hunter
So much is going on today, so many reasons to be upset, depressed, and out of control. I have some good news, we are in charge and in control over what and how we think. We must pursue creativity and remember the beauty of colors, art, and form. There are many ways to shift your thinking out of old stuck places and into the new. Begin to learn to govern yourself through new hobbies, and exploring new gifts and talents. May be you always wanted to paint, or sew. What stopping you? You don't have to have the answers, and even know how, but you must start! May be you are a writer, I'm proof you don't have to be a best seller, but you must write. It is one of my forms of self expression and one of the ways I govern my thoughts. Take time to think of new ways to express yourself. Don't go back to an old, stuck season because of boredom. You can never be bored when you are investing in new ways to bring color and life into your new season. Get proactive, Get creative! Lacy Tomorrow is the today you talked about yesterday. Lacy Lange
Procrastination is the deadly, fear based bullet that has murdered dreams, and killed destines. We get a burst of excitement, and a new idea or plan. The creative juices are flowing, we have notes, plans, and blueprints. We write the vision, and we make it plain. We are ready, and then out of no where, BAMM!!! The hidden lie, way back in the deep corner of our minds, starts to whisper, "What if this, what if that, what if you can't, and what if you"re not enough. Then we say, well I'll start TOMORROW. Then the wicked dance with the destiny thief begins with that simple word. The funny thing is it took me a few days to write this blog because of the cuss word, Tomorrow Lol! How do you deal with the spirit of fear is to face it! One great tool is to write out what you fear, see what it is, and begin to ask questions that will bring God's light into view. Ask, Is this true? Is this based on fact, or my imagination? Then ask, Is God's help bigger than this? Can I really do this with His help? Based on your conclusion, it will determine whether you move forward or not. Procrastination will kill every dream and cause you to abort your hope. It will cause you to wait for a time that will never come How long will you allow the puppet master pull the strings of your life? When will you take action?... Tomorrow? Lacy You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you. Isa. 26:3
Today we must fight for our peace. We live in a day where arguments escalate into fights over the smallest, unimportant things like a chicken sandwich, to a differing political views. The love of many has indeed become cold, ice cold. God's promise of peace comes at the cost of our focus being on Him. What does that look like in real time? Being resolved to pray about everything, but not allowing the burden of anything weigh you down. It is very easy to take false responsibility over things we have no control over. Without even knowing, our lack of peace is partnering with the enemies's plan to steal, kill, and destroy. What can we do? Take charge over what you are consuming. T.V., social media, and even news papers contain an endless flow of confusion, and chaos. When it is our desire to be informed on the important issues, we are instead engulfed in the whirlwind of confusion. Know the things that God has assigned to you to focus on. While everything has a spiritual meaning, everything does not deserve our focus! Know when the peace of God leaves, then turn back to Him as your focus, and His peace will return. We as His children, must rest in knowing that nothing is a surprise to Him, in the world, and in our world. Trust Him and know that He works all things together for GOOD! Rom. 8:28 Pray, and leave the results to our Wonderful Daddy ABBA! He Got Us! Lacy Adjust means to alter or move (something) slightly in order to achieve the desired fit, appearance, or result.
The sail of a boat is the determining factor in the direction that the boat goes in. This determines the destinations of the people on the boat, and the where they arrive. God has a destined plan for us according to Jer. 29:11, and this plan is good, and will give us hope in our final outcome. This is a promise that He will not change, but we must cooperate with His plan in order to see and fulfill the outcome He has already pre-destined for us. As long as we live we will have to adjust, shift, and change from our own understanding, over to His. By the way, God is always right! Our feelings, attitude, and behavior are governed by, or directed by our perspective, so if our perspective is off, or in error so will our feelings, attitude, and behavior also be. As I began to seek God's perspective about my life and things happening around me, my feelings changed. As longs as I saw the world and circumstances through a hopeless perspective, I felt hopeless, spoke in hopeless terms, and behavior hopeless about the world and so many other issues. Most times all it take is a slight adjustment in perspective. Acknowledging God in all of our ways, (situations, issues, life circumstance, world issues) and not lean to our own understand, which is limited and based on our intellect and rely on Him, He will direct what we are to do about every thing. While everything has a spiritual meaning, everything doesn't require my focus. Only the things God has directed me to focus on will produce the peace that comes with His perspective. Wherever He is,so is His peace is. Take some time to think about it. Are things really as deep as they are, or is it our perspective that has caused a molehill to become a mountain. Lacy "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you..." Jer. 1:5a
He know the us that we don't know yet! The Father has a plan already set in place for us. Who we are, where we will go, and what we will do is already made ready. The issue I find is that we are not always in a good place in our hearts and heads to agree, and cooperate fully with His plan. We have been given a false reality of what success is. We take this false belief about success into every area of our life. If we knew what the Father's measurement for success is, I believe striving to be something or someone He didn't make us to be would fade away. Success to the Father is a woman pouring oil on His feet. To Him it's training up children in the way they should go. To Him it touching and changing the lives of the community you live and work in. It's giving a sure prophetic word that changes a generation! Changing lives, sons and daughters coming into the Kingdom of God is His goal. You and me knowing who we were always meant to be is His goal. His Kingdom coming in and through the ones He called who are called by His name. All of us "before" we got here was ordained by God, had a plan mapped out by God! It is completely on us to surrender to His plan. He want to love us, heal us, then fulfill us by us being who we are in Him, the "Before" us now! |
