What test are you taking.
During a month of great testing there came a point at the end of the month while having my time with the Lord I said to Him, "Lord if this was the month for me to pass any test, I would say I failed in a miserable way". I went through the rest of the day feeling kinda down in my spirit. Full of regret and full of apologies to God for having let Him down. Waking up early the next morning to spend time with Him again, I could hear Holy Spirit say, "What if the testing had nothing to do with you not falling, but had everything to do with you getting back up?" Stunned at what I heard, I felt His Word well up in me that said, "A just man falls seven time, and rises up again... Pro. 24:16 At that moment I understood that God knew everything about my day. He knew when I would get up and when I would go to sleep. He also knew about the mistakes, failures and down right falls I would have. I also remembered that His grace was enough to cover my faults and that Him making that grace available everyday was enough to leave the yesterday's behind. Full of this new revelation I was able to let go of the lie of not being good enough, and embraced the joy of that day with new eyes to see my Father's love for me. The next time you feel that you have failed the test, take time to think, maybe the test wasn't about falling at all. I think He tests us on getting up more than on not falling, but when we get up we must get up stronger, wiser, and more able to stand, Falling is a promise, but getting up is an option. No matter what, get back up! Lacy

,This is a very wonderful image. One hand reaching down to help another hand, or is it one hand letting go of the other hand?
Perspective and experience has everything to do with how you will view this image and depending on these two elements, will determine what and how you give to yourself. You see we give to ourselves all the time; We: 1. Give more, or give up. 2. Give ourselves a pep, talk or a pity party. 3. Give ourselves a purpose to push, or give ourselves permission to punk out. 4. Give in to our feelings, or give the Truth room to grow in our hearts. 5. Give ourselves permission to be OK with not knowing, while giving ourselves patience to keep learning. 6. Give ourselves lies that will keep us in prison, or give our hearts to the Word that makes us free. We make these very important, live changing decision every second of every day without even knowing it. I have found that it's not about my feelings, but it's about my future. If I allow the person that God created me to be have a voice right now, in this moment, I would always choose words, thoughts, and actions that produce live. The key is remembering that there are people we have not met yet in our future that are counting on us being made free today. Lacy |
